Homemade Rose water

Posted by HerbalJournal in

A mild astringent.

You will need:
3 cups of rose petals
spring water
A large pot with lid
A medium size strainer
A glass jar with a lid

Homemade rose water directions:
1. In a large pot, place 3 cups of rose petals.
2. Pour in enough cold spring water to cover the rose petals.
3. Cover the pot and simmer over low heat until the liquid is reduced by half.
4. Once the liquid is reduced by half, strain the rose petals out. (They can be used as fertilizer in your garden!)
5. Once strained and cooled, pour into a glass jar, cap, and refrigerate.
Rose water will keep for about 1 week in the fridge.

Use homemade rose water as a mild astringent nightly for a clearer complexion.

Note:
Rosewater is safe to use on all skin types; oily, normal, dry, or combination.
